Kyocera Expands TFT Display Line, adding a new 5.7 inch diagonal VGA LCD

Vancouver, WA – March 22, 2006 Kyocera announced today that it has expanded its popular V-Series line of liquid crystal displays with a new model offering VGA format in the same compact form factor as its standard QVGA product.

Kyocera’s new TFT 5.7” (diagonal) LCD module features VGA dot format, 350 cd/m2 typical brightness, a 75,000-hour life and an operating temperature range of -10 ~+70°C.  The new model is constructed with Kyocera’s advanced TFT manufacturing technology to deliver optimum image viewing with industry-leading color saturation, brightness and contrast.  Kyocera is accepting sample orders now – order part number TCG057VG1AC-G00.

Kyocera’s V-Series products feature TFT and CSTN transmissive and transflective designs in mechanically compatible configurations, and with compatible interfaces in a given size and type.  V-Series LCD modules offer Kyocera’s customers the ability to differentiate products by display type as well as provide a clear upgrade path.
